About me

My name is Emily Günther, I am 21 years old. I live in a small rural village in the west of Germany. My father was born here and my Mother in Prague, the Czech Republic. So I have always had two homes.

This shaped me immensely as an artist, sketching, painting and drawing sceneries or capturing feelings of a place that is also home, but always far away.

Art is something that always came naturally. I spent my teenage years walking through museums and using all kinds of mediums like pottery, wood carving and charcoal. In the end though, I always returned to painting on canvas with oil. It feels like home.
